Experienced Sponsored (PPC) Search Marketing Strategist

Here's what you'd be doing each day:

  • Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive paid search strategies and recommendations
  • Perform daily management of PPC and Sponsored Campaigns to achieve the agreed upon goals and to ensure maximum effectiveness for individual clients
  • Conduct keyword analysis/research and develop quality keyword portfolio utilizing SEM tools and resources
  • Perform website analysis, consultation and other search engine marketing services as per client contracts
  • Write effective ad copy that complies with search engine guidelines and integrates industry best practices as well as testing methodologies/li>
  • Forecast search campaign timelines and reporting schedules
  • Navigate a variety of search analytics tools to mine the appropriate performance data (experience with Google Analytics, Omniture, and Coremetrics, an asset)
  • Create professional reports, documents and presentations for delivery to clients
  • Maintain a portfolio of clients and manage own client workload
  • Report project status to the account team manager
  • Effectively lead client meetings and conference calls

Here are some of the things we're going to be looking for on your resume:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Paid Search or related field
  • Client service/management experience
  • Must be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of PPC, the industry, and best practices in this industry
  • Must be able to navigate the Search Engine Interfaces of Google, Yahoo and Bing (formerly MSN) and perform basic management tasks
  • Experience with Data Analysis is required. Successful candidates must be able to analyze, interpret and apply recommendations from large sets of data and also be able to identify areas of value and importance from large data sets.
  • Must be able to think strategically and work autonomously/li>
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; previous experience in professional writing an asset
  • Keen understanding of Return on Investment (ROI), Return on Advertising Spending (ROAS) – how to calculate, how these numbers form the foundation of strategic initiatives, and how PPC management tactics can be implemented to maximize these numbers
  • Strong Research skills as the individual must be able to review articles, blogs, web discussion forums, press releases, etc. and be able to extract the key points
  • Ability to perform effectively under tight timelines
  • Must be comfortable learning various bid management and analytic interfaces
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint are required
  • Ability to speak French, an asset
