We are looking for candidates located in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal or Kelowna! It is an exciting time at Mediative!  We are growing quickly and working with amazing clients so we are looking for more SEO Search Marketing Strategists to join our current talented, motivated, and passionate team of Search Marketers!  We are looking for team members that have demonstrated their ability to bring value to clients through effective organic Search Marketing campaigns and are looking for a new challenge!

These are some of the things you would do each day:

  • Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive organic search engine optimization recommendations
  • Conduct keyword analysis/research and develop quality keyword portfolio utilizing SEO tools and resources
  • Demonstrate your active understanding of the Search Marketing industry
  • Stay abreast of latest trends in the industry with constant research in the SEM community; implement strategies accordingly
  • Perform website analyses, consultation and other search engine marketing services as per client contracts
  • Implement Web Analytics tracking onto client websites
  • Consult on technical site issues pertaining to coding and site architecture
  • Recommend optimization for various site components including copy, page title/descriptions, site architecture, filenames, etc.
  • Ensure that client site pages follow proper SEO guidelines with respect to coding and adherence to established copy/keyword best practices
  • Analyze latest algorithm changes and continually modify recommendations and best practices with regards to content, links etc
  • Develop and implement quality link programs and/or directory listings
  • Navigate a variety of search analytics tools to mine the appropriate performance data (experience with Google Analytics, Omniture, CoreMetrics, and other analytics programs an asset)

These are some of the things we’ll be looking for on your resume:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • Min 3-5 years experience in Organic Search or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of client service/management experience
  • Must be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of Organic Search, the industry, and best practices in this industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; previous experience in professional writing an asset
  • Strong Research skills as the individual must be able to review articles, blogs, web discussion forums, press releases, etc. and be able to extract the key points from an SEO and technical perspective
  • Ability to perform effectively under tight timelines and work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable with Excel and similar “number crunching” skills
  • Ability to understand HTML and CSS and/or experience with URL rewriting, content management systems, blogging platforms, and social media an asset
