In the first
eight years of Enquiro's existence, we've
learned a tremendous amount about organizational
culture and relationships with our clients.
We've been fortunate to assemble a tremendous
group of people and we’re constantly looking for
ways to ensure that we provide more value to our
customers. As anyone can attest to, the road to
becoming a truly exceptional company is not
always a smooth one. Our path has certainly had
its ups and downs, but we found that our most
valuable discoveries have come from some of the
roughest patches in the road. We also know that
the same will continue to be true in the future,
and that online marketing in general, and search
in particular, have any incredibly exciting
future ahead.
At Enquiro, we spent a lot of time thinking
about the future. In fact, we make it a practice
to regularly get together and envision what the
future of online marketing might be and our
particular role is that. Our expectations for
online marketing are extraordinarily high, and
our goals for Enquiro are no less so. It is our
belief that the marketing rulebook will be
completely rewritten in the next decade and we
fully intend to have an integral role in
rewriting it. The act of searching online has
become the embodiment of empowerment for
customers and it has completely changed the way
marketing is done. This will have far-reaching
implications for every advertiser on the planet;
some will get it, some will get it, but too
late, and some will never get it at all. We want
to align ourselves squarely with the first
group.
Another extraordinarily exciting thing for us
has been our ability to provide more insight in
how people use search. This has enabled us to
create some wonderful relationships with key
people in each of the major engines. For us,
this is one of the most rewarding aspects of our
day-to-day work. It gets down to the very touch
point between a person looking for information
and the ability of the Internet to provide that
information. We have referred to it in the past
as the powerful connection between intent and
content, and it's the essence of search. As
simple as that connection is, there are worlds
of complexity in the mindset of the person
launching the search and the vast amounts of
data that may be relevant to that search. To us,
understanding all the dimensions of that touch
point and how it can be used to create strong
and lasting relationships with customers is a
fascinating challenge. The answers don't come
easily and they don't come quickly, and there is
still so much to learn. Our society has changed
a tremendous amount in the past decade, due to
the advent of the Internet, and we've only just
begun down the path.
