The search engine formerly known as Ask Jeeves. Offers search for web sites news weather reports pictures stocks maps and directions people or products. Offers search for web sites, images, news, blogs, video, maps and directions, local search and shopping.  Also has a dictionary search.  AskJeeves became famous because of it's natural language search. By performing your queries in the form of a natural language question, results are returned.

Ask.com was founded in 1996 in Berkeley, California.  The ASK search engine officially launched in April of 1997.  AskJeeves' results come from Crawler based Teoma, which it also owns.

In June 2007, Ask was one of the first search engine to offer blended search results with their dynamic SERP:

ASK was very innovative with their Search product but in early 2008, the company decided that they would be taking a different approach and stop "trying to compete as a true search engine versus the likes of Google and Yahoo" in order to focus on their main target demographic of married women living in the American South and Midwest.
