A blog is, in essence, an online journal or diary.
It is a web log that can act as a website. Blogs are often populated
with the site owner's personal favorites and his/her comments. A blog is a business or personal journal made available as a website. Blog entries are usually short and posted
regularly.
Blogging is the act of posting something on one's blog.
Many blogs double up as an individual's website consisting of
opinions, thoughts and articles. Blog posts are often
arranged in a chronological order similar to how one would write
in their diary or log book.
Blogs are a great way to get content out to an audience in a
short amount of time. Many refer to the blogging portion
of the Internet as the blogosphere. As of 2006 it
was estimated that the blogosphere was doubling in size roughly
every six months. In 2007, Google began displaying blog
results within their regular search results as they rolled out
their Universal (aka blended) Search results. Here's a
