For most websites, the entry page is quite often the homepage. As a
result you want to ensure that the user is able to find or will be at least
able to navigate to the information that they are looking for from the entry
page that they landed on.
It is important to try to reduce the bounce rate on entry pages so that
visitors frequent additional pages and not just your entry page. Many
site owners and Webmaster will conduct usability tests to ensure that
visitors are effectively engaging with their homepage and other popular
entry pages on their site.
