Link

The act of navigating from a section of page content to another section of page content or to an entirely separate web page. There are various forms of links such including text based links and image links. Allow search engine optimization. Links allow sites to interact with visitors, navigation of the site, redirect visitors to other pages and drive traffic to your site.

Types of Links:

Destination Anchor: The action the browser will take when the source anchor is clicked.
External Links: A link from or to a page on another website.
Inbound Links: Links to your page from some other page.
Internal Links: Links from or to a page on the same website. Internal links ensure your site is fully indexed in the search engine.
Link Triangulation: Link triangulation is created when three or more sites decide to interlink.
Non-redirecting Links: Links that cause an action to happen. These do not send a user to another page.
Outbound Links: Links from your page to some other page.
Reciprocal Link: A link agreed to be exchanged by two websites.
Source Anchor: The part of the link – text or image – that the browser will display to the user. When clicked, the browser will begin to evaluate the destination anchor.
