Query

the act of performing a search in a search engine or an internal search on a website. A query is often a request for information. The type of query that a user performs in a search engine may be an indication of how far along they are in the buying cycle. Initial queries may be more general in nature while, the closer they are to making a purchase, chance are the query will become more defined and consist of more specific words.
