Kelowna BC - On April 10, 2010 Enquiro hosted its second annual Street Hockey Classic at the Landmark buildings in Kelowna. The family oriented event attracted ten teams, comprised of local companies, to compete in a street hockey tournament raising a total of $3,700 for the United Way of the Central and South Okanagan / Similkameen. Co-ed teams competed in a spirited round robin tournament with Capri Insurance winning the tournament in a final play-off game against a team from Scotia McLeod/Scotiabank. Between games, families enjoyed face painting and activities for children, a BBQ lunch, and a silent auction.
“It was great to see the response from local companies wanting to participate, growing from 6 teams last year to 10 teams this year, helping to raise money and enjoy a sunny Saturday,“ said Krista Brown, Enquiro employee and organizer of the event. “We already have teams asking about next year, and we look forward to hosting the event again. Congratulations to Capri Insurance for winning the tournament for a second year. We hope to see them as well next year.”
